Purdue Audio Streaming

Wowza GoCoder on Tablet to send radio/audio simulcasts (channel purdueaudiotab)

BUTT to send internet only streams.

From Benjamin W Turner ( turner87@purdue.edu )

Greetings,

Many thanks to Kevin for the time he spent with us & info he provided today.

See attached for photos of the 2 Comrex Access units we have here at Purdue. We have been using them to connect to our radio partner via IP. The Access Portable is the older model that had the modem card that worked with a phone line. This unit has an accompanying mini mixer it attaches to. Access2 USB is the newer model that we use in conjunction with the JK Audio Mixer.

Here's our sports & gear break down…

Soccer - Home games only as internet only broadcasts; plan is to use USB mixer with laptop or JK Audio mixer with laptop via blutooth

Volleyball (Same as WBB) - All games as radio simulcasts; if we can't get BUTT set up in place at radio station computer, we will have announcer travel with laptop/tablet to connect to Stretch; hoping we can have Comrex connected to station & JK Audio mixer connected via blutooth to laptop/tablet at same time

Women's Basketball (Same as VBall) - All games as radio simulcasts; if we can't get BUTT set up in place at radio station computer, we will have announcer travel with laptop/tablet to connect to Stretch; hoping we can have Comrex connected to station & JK Audio mixer connected via blutooth to laptop/tablet at same time

Baseball - 90% of games as radio simulcasts (except when overlapping with WBB) & Internet only otherwise; if we can't get BUTT set up in place at radio station computer, we will have SID/announcer travel with laptop/tablet to connect to Stretch; hoping we can have Comrex connected to station & JK Audio mixer connected via blutooth to laptop/tablet at same time

Soccer - All games as internet only broadcasts; plan is to use USB mixer with laptop or JK Audio mixer with laptop via blutooth
